À deux mois de l'élection présidentielle d'avril 2026, le National Democratic Institute (NDI) annonce l'envoi d'une mission d'évaluation préélectorale à Cotonou du 16 au 20 février. Conduite par d'anciens chefs d'État africains et des experts internationaux, la délégation entend échanger avec les acteurs politiques et électoraux afin d'apprécier l'état des préparatifs et de réaffirmer son soutien à un scrutin transparent, inclusif et crédible au Bénin.

La commune d'Ifangni a un nouveau maire. À l'issue de la cérémonie officielle d'installation tenue, ce lundi 16 février 2026, Anselme Aguemon a été désigné pour conduire les destinées de la municipalité dans le cadre de la nouvelle mandature issue des communales 2026.

La séance d'installation du Conseil communal, marquée par la présence des autorités politico-administratives a consacré la mise en place du nouvel exécutif communal. À cette occasion, le choix a été porté sur Anselme Aguemon pour assurer la gestion de la commune d'Ifangni. Il succède à Franck Okpeicha.

Le nouveau maire sera assisté dans ses fonctions par Maroufathou Falola, 1re adjointe au maire, et Ernest Adelakoun, 2e adjoint. Ils auront la responsabilité de mettre en œuvre les projets de développement au profit des populations d'Ifangni, en tenant compte des priorités locales et des attentes exprimées durant la campagne électorale.
