Le ministre d'État chargé de l'Économie et des Finances, Romuald Wadagni, candidat de la mouvance présidentielle, se rend ce lundi 13 octobre 2025, à la Commission électorale nationale autonome (CENA) pour le dépôt officiel de son dossier de candidature à l'élection présidentielle de 2026.

Le dépôt de dossier de candidature du ministre d'Etat, Romuald Wadagni sera effectif dans quelques heures. Selon les informations, le candidat de la mouvance présidentielle va procéder au dépôt de son dossier ce lundi à la CENA à 17 heures. Il sera accompagné de sa colistière, Mariam Chabi Talata, ainsi que de plusieurs figures de la majorité présidentielle.

Une forte mobilisation est annoncée à Cotonou, notamment à Ganhi, où des militants et sympathisants doivent se rassembler pour former un cortège de soutien jusqu'à la CENA.

Cette démonstration de force intervient alors que l'opposition n'a pas encore dévoilé son candidat. Du côté du parti "Les Démocrates" le président Boni Yayi a réuni ce lundi, les membres de la Coordination Nationale pour la présentation du rapport de la Commission Nationale de Candidature chargée de la désignation du duo de candidats du parti à la présidentielle du 12 avril 2026.
